Professional printing color terminology for color box printing

There are many colors in the color box printing, such as red orange, red, green, blue, purple, etc., but in the box printing, we only have four-color printing, five-color printing, special color printing, etc., or a combination of these colors. For example, some color box printing is to choose four colors plus spot color printing.

Four-color printing: The basic colors of printing are: black, blue, red, yellow (K, C, M, Y,). The four-color printing in the printing industry is superimposed on these four basic colors. These four colors are the four-color printing we often say. The general color box printing is to choose four-color printing.

Five-color printing: It is printed by four-color spot color. One of the colors is the spot color, which is the need to adjust it. The four colors are the four colors of CMYK that we usually say.

In theory, these four primary colors match each other and can be obtained in any color in the world. However, different color box printing products pursue different color box packaging effects, and often professional designers will additionally develop a color to highlight a certain color to make the picture more realistic and more three-dimensional. Five-color printing actually adds a special color to the four primary colors, namely the spot color (4C spot color).
